Vietnam Agarwood Association holds Executive Committee meeting, implements key tasks

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Agarwood Association (VAWA) will hold its periodic Executive Committee meeting in June 2026 to evaluate recent operational results, while discussing several important contents related to organizational development, the growth of the agarwood industry, and plans for organizing the Vietnam Agarwood Conference.

According to the announcement from the Vietnam Agarwood Association Office, the Executive Committee meeting will take place at 9:00 AM on June 27, 2026, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation.

The in-person meeting venue is at the AGARVINA Company Office, Lan Anh Villa area (formerly District 2, Ho Chi Minh City), with an online connection via the Zoom platform for Executive Committee members who are unable to attend in person.

At the meeting, the Executive Committee will conduct a preliminary review of the construction and operation of the Association's website, evaluating the effectiveness of communication activities, member connectivity, and the promotion of the image of the Vietnamese agarwood industry in the digital environment.

Another notable content is the exchange and updating of information regarding CITES recommendations for agarwood and issues related to the production, business, and export activities of Vietnamese agarwood products in the coming time.

The Executive Committee will also focus on discussing and implementing the plan to organize the Vietnam Agarwood Conference, an event expected to gather managers, experts, scientists, businesses, and artisans working in the agarwood sector to exchange experiences and set directions for the sustainable development of this industry, which holds unique economic and cultural value for Vietnam.

Besides professional content, the meeting will consider the consolidation of the Association's personnel following the passing of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tran. According to the nomination list, the Executive Committee will collect opinions and vote on adding Mr. Nguyen Van Tung to the Vietnam Agarwood Association Executive Committee and Mr. Ho Anh Khoa to the Association's Inspection Committee.

The leadership of the Vietnam Agarwood Association requests that Executive Committee members arrange their time to attend fully and contribute opinions on the important contents of the meeting, thereby contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the Association and promoting the sustainable development of the Vietnamese agarwood industry in the new phase.

The meeting is expected to create high consensus in management work, while identifying key tasks for the Association in the final months of 2026, especially activities for connecting members, trade promotion, promoting the Vietnamese agarwood brand, and strengthening cooperation with domestic and international organizations.
